Highlights of school life are the annual Interlyceales: the Sport Interlyceale (S.I.) and the Artistic Interlyceale (A.I.). Ever since 1938 there has been a tradition that the oldest lyceums on a general basis in the Netherlands meet twice a year to engage in sports or artistic competition. These lyceums include: The Amsterdam Lyceum, The Baarnsch Lyceum, the Kennemer Lyceum in Overveen and our lyceum. Once every four years we are the organizing school.

In September, the Sports Interlyceal will take place. The organization is in the hands of the gym section. With extra trainings and clinics they prepare the students for this meet. The best athletes represent our school in the team sports and individual athletics events.

The third week of March is the Artistic Interlyceal: music, drama, cabaret, eloquence and dance are the performing arts. Behind the scenes, students work on the visual and literary arts, checkers and chess. The school's hallways turn into exhibition spaces. After an initial selection, the students perform during two well-attended final nights when they are judged by expert, external judges. In the end, more than 100 students remain to represent us at the national Artistic Interlyceal. The stake is the challenge cup. The A.I. is a sizzling feast where the whole school is buzzing with creativity.
