Friday morning, April 12, our students received a guest lesson from Professor Anne L'Huillier. The lesson took place in the science truck of the University of Groningen, which has been on the road for nearly 20 years to fascinate students with engineering and science.
L'Huillier was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics in 2023, along with colleagues Pierre Agostini and Ferenz Krausz. The research focuses on extremely short pulses of light; with these superfast flashes of light, the scientists "look" at electrons inside atoms and molecules and make visible what happens in them.
We feel honored that our students were able to meet and learn from the inspiring Professor Anne L'Huillier!
