Special attention to language and arithmetic

The Lorentz Casimir Lyceum is committed to raising language and computing skills. In class 1 there is an extra lesson in mathematics and Dutch (one extra lesson in the week per course for six months). Within the mathematics field, the mathematics skills of the primary school are mainly raised and maintained, later in connection with the physics and economics subjects. During the year we follow the improvement of the level with validated tests. Students of Havo-4 without mathematics in their package receive an extra hour on the lesson table for a year. For foreign students there is a group of language support in the substructure and in the superstructure. These meetings are aimed at acquiring (school) language, both orally and in writing. Students will start with current Dutch-language offerings to gain a better grip on the Dutch language by increasing their vocabulary and feeling for Dutch.
