The LCL Business Class (BC) is a 1-year experience program for motivated students in havo-4 with the subject business economics in their profile. Students can apply for this through an application letter and an interview. The selection then takes place based on established criteria. The program consists of a theoretical orientation part with a series of excursions, guest lectures and workshops by external professionals. There is also a practical entrepreneurial part in which students set up a company in groups. They themselves are responsible for the total enterprise, for example, they decide which product to sell, but also the marketing, financing and administration is in their own hands. In the process, students develop skills such as entrepreneurial thinking, presentation, cooperation and (self)reflection. Students are rewarded with the official LCL Business Class certificate at the end of grade 4 if they perform well. Moreover, by successfully completing this module, they will have fulfilled their profile paper havo (study load 80 hours).
